Wasp sting

My 3 year old was stung by a wasp about 2 weeks ago.

He's been emotional and running a slight temp, but not a fever since then.

I had a look this morning and it looks like the barb is still in there. He screams if I go near his leg

What do I do, do I try and remove it myself or do i call the minor injuries or gp?

Is there a practice nurse who could take a look at it? Should be gone by now so I suspect you're right and the sting is still in there
