Rash

Hello,

Anyone ever seen anything like this? DS 7 has come home from staying at a friend's house with this awful rash. It's was apparently under his arms and on his neck last night, now it's on his legs, feet, arms, hands and is starting to spread to his face (see pics).

He went riding yesterday (but has been many times before), they have a cat (although he's been around them before at DM's) and he got nettles on his legs whilst picking blackberries yesterday evening (he has also had this happen before). My thoughts are that it's a reaction to some plant or something. He doesn't seem ill apart from being beside himself with pain and itching. He has no fever.

It seems the rash is moving from one part of his body to another. Where its been 12 hours ago is now fine again, while new areas are flaring up. I find that to be very odd!

He's dosed up on calpol and Piriton, and the pharmacist said to use sudocrem on the itchy areas to help soothe and stop any developing infections. She thought it was a reaction and said to keep an eye on him and to check his breathing during the night.

Anyway, I just thought some lovely MNer might have experience with this kind of rash.

Have just had a friend tell me it's likely that it's Urticaria, or nettle rash. The symptoms on the NHS page seem in line with what's happening.
