Lump on DD neck

2 weeks ago i found a lump on my daughters neck, shes 4 and hasn't been ill or currently ill. At first glace i thought maybe it could just be a swollen lymph node or a cyst. I have booked an appointment at the doctors but i just cant stop worrying about it.

Has anyone's children had a cyst on their neck's that look like this or does it look like she could be sick in the next couple of days. I've had to stop her from touching it and rubbing it, but she says it doesn't hurt.

Looks like a gland. Ds had one similar at that age. Hadn't been ill but has allergies so wondered if it could be that. Dr was unconcerned as otherwise well. Told me to go back in a month if it hasn't got smaller. It did gradually so no other further investigation necessary. Try not to worry. Swollen glands are very common in children. Even a insect can cause it.

They looked at it today and she thinks it could just be a harmless cyst .We have been told to wait a week and come back and if its stayed the same then the GP will refer her for a blood test. hopefully it should come back all clear. Thanks for replying.
