Dandruff or nits/lice?

Hi everyone,

I'm so confused, dd has what I thought was dandruff for nearly a year now. I've tried loads of products with her nizarol, coconut oil, hydro cortisone, head and shoulders to name a few. It looks very obvious as she has dark hair. I brought her to pharmacists and I mentioned it the gp when I was bringing her about something else. All recommended the above. None of them have really worked to date, nizoral seems to have lessened it a little bit. Now I'm over in Spain and decided today to see if they had any suggections in the pharmacy over here. They looked at it (2 different pharmacists)and said it was lice? I've combed her hair out and cant find any creepy crawlies. I often use a lice comb on her hair to get rid of the white stuff and have never come accross lice. She isn't itchy either. None of the rest of us have it 2 siblings dh and i. Is it possible she has had them for the last year? I'm itchy now just at the thought. Any advice please?

If you have not found lice with the comb then it's not likely to be that. Does
it come away easily? Can you see anything stuck to the hair strands?

If you post a picture it might help? Although I feel It's unlikely to be lice as if it it was and it had been going on that long you would have lots of lice to see.

Thanks she's in bed nownow but will post a pic in the morning. My 2 other children had lice about 3 years ago I remember one comb of their hairhair and you could see t them crawling around on the tissue. Dd had none of that so I didn't think it was lice at all. The pharmacists today were so sure they nearly ate my head off when I told them I didn't think it was, wouldn't listen to me when I said she has it a year and its not a knew thing Hmm

Have a look all along the hair line. Especially behind the ears. What does it look like there? That's where they tend to gather..

That looks like nits to me!
