Torn Labial Frenulum - Help

I picked my son up from nursery this evening and they said he'd had a little bump to his face, it bled a bit and he's got a fat lip.

I looked at it and his labial frenulum is completely torn and there's a chunk missing from his lip.

He's being quite fractious about sleeping. He's had calpol and I put bonjela on it.

I've been madly googling and I don't think there's anything that a doctor would to about it anyway. (I don't think they stitch them?)

Does anyone have any experience of this? Should I take him to the doc in the morning? Or should I just stick to soft foods and calpol and give it a chance to heal?
