5year old dd and nightmares

My 5 year old dd keeps having nightmares and it's really affecting our sleep. She's not sleeping more than 3 hours before she's up crying and telling me she's had a nightmare. From early evening she repeatedly asks if she's going to have a nightmare and I try to reassure her but nothing helps. She's getting into a real state about it every bedtime. I don't think she's worried about school and her home life is ok so I can't think of what may be causing these nightmares. Anyone have any suggestion for ways of reassuring her about her nightmares?
