Is this chicken pox?

DS is 9m old, he's been 'ill' since Saturday night but isn't terrible, still playing just a bit more clingie and of his food.

Started Saturday night with a fever which lasted into Sunday (controlled with paracetamol) then noticed spots Sunday evening. Since then temperature had dropped and is staying normal, more spots have appeared spreading from just tummy down his armed and legs.

I initially thought chicken pox but now I'm not sure, it's been three days and the spots don't seem to have blisters. Even the first ones on his tummy look the same as when they first appeared.

Any one have experience of this?

Thanks for the quick response, do you think I'll be alright to take him to playgroup? We've been staying home the last few days just incase, but I'm thinking if it was going to develop it would of by now?

If it is still developing probably not.

I'll give it a few more days before we venture out, he's not properly ill so starting to go a little stur crazy but don't want him to be the kid who infects the whole group.
