Cough

My son has a cough that is mainly snot rolling down the back of his throat. I have tried everything propped bed up, smothered in Vicks and calpol and still wakes every 10 mins! Help! any Remedies!?

Vickes on his feet with socks on. Some olbas in a bowl of hot steamy water near bed but not within reach. Propped up. And piriton if 12 months old or up. It helps dry throat up. It can make them drowsy (it doesn't make mine drowsy) and it was recommended by my health visitor. A combination of everything seems to work. Good luck!

Same problem! 3yo daughter has had a cough/blocked nose for almost 3 months, worse at night and I feel like I've tried everything. Help please!

Vicks on the feet really does work!

Salt water nasal spray. Really helps wash the mucus out, thin it etc
