DD2 keeps getting these red dots come up under the surface of the skin. They're like little pin pricks and they tend to come up 2 or 3 at a time. They're very small but they don't blanch. They are under the surface of the skin and the skin itself feels smooth, not irritated or anything. They'll be there for around a week and then go. I mentioned it to the GP and he didn't know what it was. It doesn't bother her at all but I just wondered what it was. I've read about petechiae, but that tends to be more widespread and I don't know if they came and go so much as this does. The photos aren't great but I've attached a couple.
