My 14 year olds big toe nail has split horizontally across about 2.5 cms from the base of his nail.
It's due to a football injury some weeks ago - his nail debt partially black but didntbaeen to bother him.
Last week - on holiday typically! - the nail split.
He was in some discomfort so I have spent since then wrapping it in bandage
Should I be doing something else?
Does the nail need to come off?
My gut says leave it well alone!
