Half normal half black poo?

DS who is 2 has just done a poo which is half normal colour but half black he's not been eating very much as he's not been great but it's like he's had iron tablets which he hasn't anyone have any ideas what it could be

Blueberries? Paint at nursery?
I suppose the obvious worry would be if you think it's old blood? I would wait and see if it happens again.

He doesn't eat them and not in nursery till September so I'm stuck I have no clue I will see what the next nappy holds 😮

It's a poo, you don't need to inspect and analyse it this muchGrin

Kids do loads of weird and wonderful poos as do adults !

I'd be tempted to ask the local surgery or practice nurse as Black poo in older people is sometimes a sign of bleeding in the tract but don't be alarmed by that just ask a medical professional to be on the safe side..
