Hi my dd is having her ears pierced I'm confused as to whether to have 9ct earrings or 18ct , there's a big price difference
Any advice please ?

9ct will be fine. It doesn't affect her health or anything. It's just that some people prefer more expensive earrings.

I was wondering if the 18ct helped with the healing process , I had my ears pierced when I was a child and had 9ct and my ears were fine

No. There's no difference.

Depends what the alloy is - I react to a fair amount of metals so generally the better the purity, the less likely I am to react. Copper, silver, nickel, palladium and zinc are the most commonly used.

Nickel is the one the majority of people react to and I'd seek nickel free if you can.
