New mumsnetter here! I know there are various threads on this but I'm wondering if anyone has any more recent advice e.g. New medicines etc!
I have a 6 week old baby girl who, from about 2 weeks, has just been in pain all day (she was so chilled before that!) She's so happy and settled for about 5mins then cries with pain and brings her knees up for about a minute, then back to settled and then crying again. This just goes on. The only thing that settles her (not always though) is holding her upright facing out with my arm pressing on her stomach. However I can't constantly stand up holding her like that. The rumbling in her belly is so strong when she's crying.
I have tried colief, infacol, dentinox and gripe water. None seemed to make a difference. I've cut cows milk out and that doesn't seem to work.
I wind her for ages after a feed and get a couple of burps up but she generally goes all stiff and cries when being winded. I've been tilting her back and forth when winding too which helps get the wind up but doesn't resolve her pain.
I've taken her to see a craniosacral therapist but that did nothing.
Anyone got any advice or any idea what else it could be? I haven't tried infant gaviscon, that's the only stone left unturned but I'm going to ask for that this week at the baby drop in!
Thanks in advance 😊
