I hope I'm being a bit presumptious but basically wondering what to expect for elbow surgery and how long recovery will be? Should have asked more questions at hospital today but was really not expecting this outcome so was a bit shocked and also didn't want to scare my daughter.
Basically she broke her elbow 4 weeks ago. All was looking good 2 weeks ago when she had it xrayed but today after getting her cast off the consultant was worried something wasn't quite in the right place so might be dislocated and looked to have moved since last X-ray.
So we go back on Monday to see if she will need an operation on Tuesday. Delayed because she also has a high temp today and sore throat. She did seem in pain when he touched her elbow (had also had Nurofen a couple of hours before) so I'm not hopeful that it will all be OK.
Oh and we've got antibiotics now for bacterial tonsillitis ðŸ˜
