4 week old & no poops

My 4 week old hasn't done a poo today or tomorrow. She's doing plenty of wet nappies and has been passing gas, but just no poo?

She's breastfed and I've read that it could mean that she's getting everything she needs from my milk, but surely there would be some waste apart from wee?

She hasn't done a poo tomorrow?

Oh I am more tired than I thought....today or yesterday!...but it could potentially be tomorrow as well, who knows?!

Can be normal. My ebf baby was a twice per week-er!

Heirhelp · 29/06/2017 22:22

Normal for bf to go up to 7 days with no poo.

halfbuffy · 29/06/2017 22:25

Even at only 4 weeks? PFB so obviously panicking at everything!

Totally normal for a breastfed baby

Yes freaked me out. Dc1 pooped a few times a day at that point. Dc2 pooped once every 6 or 7 days!!! When it came it was massive! I wouldn't go out around day 5 or 6 as it was suuuuch a poonami.

Very efficient body taking every last nutrient and leaving no waste! As long as you baby is weeing I wouldn't be at all worried.

Congrats on your newborn Flowers
