Infections caused by Hayfever?

Basically I am just trying to put 2 + 2 together and maybe making 3.
My boy is 2.5. Lst summer was awful. From May to September we had 6 doses of oral antibiotics for eye infections x 2 (linked to sinuses), ear infections x 2, chest infection x 1 and suspected UTI. Then all off a sudden it just stopped and he generally kept a lot better. I though it may just have been turning 2.
Now It's June again and we have a poorly boy with bulging ear, inflamed spotty tonsils and Conjuctivitis. No antibiotics thankfully although we will see as currently on day 4 with no improvement.
Last week the pollen count was very high and I can't help but wonder if it's hay fever. I suffer from it myself so good chance it's been passed down i guess.
We'll start giving him piriton and see how it goes. And get him back to Drs and see what they think.
Just wondering if this is common and anyone else's little ones suffer the same?

yep quite common. it all sounds as if it could be hayfever.
I hope the piriton works, but a gp appointment would be good.
