Lump on toddler.

My 2 year old son has had this small lump on his leg for around 4 months. I've taken him to the Dr who have said they're not concerned about but they've sent a referral to the dermatologist at the hospital. His appointment is not until mid September. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

My lo had something similar that was most likely an infected hair follicle.
I'd only be concerned if they get a temp or the spot gets larger. But trust your instinct.

I did think about a hair follicle but I seem to remember him bashing it and it starting as a bruise. His legs are covered in bruises. Typical 2 year old boy, so it's hard to be sure. I thought it would go after a while but it's been too long and it's now getting darker. Feel super annoyed that the appt is so long away but by the same token, it means they're not to worried. No good for a neurotic mum though!

If it started with a bash to the leg it could be a haematoma? (spelling?) Have a look at those on NHS and see what you think.

Hi, I was wondering what the diagnosis was in the end for your little one? My 2 year old has almost the exact same looking lump on his thigh.
