How long to 'get over' Chicken pox after spots have gone

Hi

My 8 year old has had a horrendous bout of chicken pox, his symptoms started over 2 weeks ago and the last of his spots all finally scabbed over yesterday, he was covered head to toe and everywhere in between.
Last night he was awake hysterical with pain in his legs and after calpol and a (long!) massage he calmed down. This morning he said his arms ached but not as much as his legs.
Today he fell asleep straight after school, which is unheard of for him and when he woke up told me he had a lump on his neck.
I can feel 2 lumps in the back of his neck and presume they are swollen lymph glands as his body is (still?) fighting off the infection even though he isn't contagious anymore.
Not sure what I'm asking really? I'm guessing this is normal if you're body has been through this but at the same time I'm not sure if I should/shouldn't be worried (Paranoid?) as he is rarely ill and never complains if he feels under the weather.
