Clenil Modulite and side effects

If your child has psychological side effects from Clenil Modulite, do these occur directly after taking the dose?

DS has various psychological effects but they seem to come on suddenly straight after taking the medicine?

Do you know of any alternatives? Montelukast/Singulair isn't a possibility due to side-effects too. Thank you
