Hi

I took my dd to the gp last week due to what appears to be a lymph nodes on the back of her head. She did look like she may have been coming down with some sort of cold at the time.

She has since developed a cold whereby she is sneezing and coughing.

Does this sound why then lymph node is noticeable? The dr wasn't concerned in the slightest and said it was completely normal.

Thank you

Well yes I suppose so. Are they always noticeable? It's usually the ones under the chin , just under the ears In my experience. Hs she got a sore throat too.?

There usually aren't lymph nodes on the back of the head - do you mean the neck or behind the ears?

They should clear up, but if you're worried, keep an eye on them to make sure they're not getting bigger.

Thank you.

Yes it is a in line with the back of her ear in her hair a few cm back. I am saying "lymph nodes" but the doctors actually called it a gland. I can see from diagrams that there are lymph nodes in the exact place where she has it.

She has got a cold, a cough and is sneezing and all bunged up.

The doctor said it is definitely nothing to worry about.

It's definitely nothing to worry about

Do you suffer from anxiety? It doesn't really sound normal to take your child to the gp when they've got a cold. Glands do swell when the body is fighting infections.

What was it you were worried about specifically?
