Ear infection and rash...

Lucky enough that DS hardly ever gets more than a cold. Today he has been given antibiotics for an ear infection. Had two doses since 12pm..around 6pm he came out in a blotchy rash on his hands, face arms and ankles that keeps going then coming back...is a rash normal with an ear infection or is it more likely an allergy/reaction to the antibiotics...would you see how it goes given hes fine in himself?!

My guess would be the antibiotics

Goes it blanch/fade when you press on it?

It reminds me of heat rash/ nettle stings

Could be reaction to the antibiotics, but could be a viral rash too. They both can look like that and I suspect there's no simple way of telling.
