DD 11 has chicken pox again, I think

She has at least 60 spots that I had thought were bites. She last had Chicken Pox at 16 months, fairly badly. This time she is not ill at all, just spotty. She did have a very bad cold maybe 10 days ago. Pharmacist thinks on balance it's the pox.
What do you think? Could it be anything else?

Chicken pox is pretty distinctive, and you can certainly catch it more than once, especially if you caught it for the first time when very young.

I'd say it's CP, unless it presents atypically.

Well I can't see a picture so it's hard to know. However my eldest has had chicken pox twice, it does happen.

I'll do some pics in a bit vroomster.

Are they spread around over here body or mainly in one area? Could it be shingles rather than CP?

Yvetteballs · 25/05/2017 11:03

They're all over her body but fewer on torso and back. I looked at some shingles rash pics. They looked different to these.

Looks like CP. You can get it more than once, even more than twice (rarely)

Yvetteballs · 25/05/2017 11:47

Wonder why she isn't ill?
