4yo poor hearing

MerlinEmrys · 24/05/2017 17:06

My 4yo ds seems to have developed some hearing problems:

Asks us to repeat ourselves
Turns tv/music up loud as says can't hear it

Ears appear clean but obviously I don't poke inside.

Any advice?

And would it be hv, nurse or gp?

Thanks

GP - quite likely to be glue ear. Common and pretty easily treatable with grommets but likely to be a bit of a wait on the NHS so quicker you get going the better.

Gp is your best bet.

GP, possible referrals for hearing test. We had the same with my daughter. She always shouts, constantly asks me to repeat etc went for a hearing test, all ok. She's just loud and decides when she wants to hear something or not.
