7month old straining,bright red in face when pooping then when change nappy it's a hard brown lump...
Would this be contraption?

Could be constipation. Takes babies some time to adjust to eating food sometimes.
Have you tried pureed pear or dried apricots. Could help.
Or some more water after each meal.
