What the hell is this?

Hoping someone here can help.

My nearly 3 year old has these spots on her inner thigh that she's had for weeks. They are just outside the lining of the nappy and further towards her knee. The biggest is the size of the head of my thumb.

They pop up and then shrink after a few days and almost look scarred when they are about to fade. Then massive new ones pop up.

I've washed everything loads and tried different creams and different washing powders. She says they are a bit sore.

Anyone have any idea what they are?

GP?

Faithless12 · 03/05/2017 07:05

They look like bites to me.

Yh I think they look like bites. But I don't get why they are just on her inner thighs under clothes. And what's biting her. I don't get bitten so I'm not familiar with bites. But my partner gets bitter loads.

Going to take her to the gp I think. Thank you

I'd say bed bugs

Well I took her to the gp. She often pops a strange rash when she has something viral or a reaction to something but we can't figure out. Anyway he said it is some sort of infection, no idea what, but as they fade and then new ones appear, they aren't bites as it is the skin that is infected. He's given some antibiotics to try for the week but he thinks she'll need something stronger.

I first thought bed bugs and boiled washed everything a month ago when they first came up, but even when we stayed at my parents for a week, they came up again. They look like a cross between a bite and a hive or a chicken pock at the end of its life.
