DD6 had a virus/cold for 6 weeks but was fine with it, if you know what I mean. She got better about 3 weeks ago but still has a cough when she eats and when she first goes to bed.
I've made an appt with the doc for next week, but after a google am now kinda worried... WWYD?

Hi I know this is a very old thread, but I’m having the same issue with my DS , just wondering what the outcome was.

Have only just seen this, but in case anyone else searches.... It resolved itself eventually- I'm talking years! We think it was Post-nasal drip, and propping her up in bed seemed to help. We're not sure if we made it worse by covering her feet in vicks at night, it can help, but sometimes I wonder if all these decongestant things can prolong things! She always had ear problems so that might have contributed. Still worth seeing GP just in case, but for us it just became a thing that every time she had a cold she would have a cough while eating for a while after. Anyway she is almost a teenager now and doesn't have the issue anymore! (a whole other load of issues instead!!)
