Chipped front tooth

Ds (7) has just chipped his front tooth. It's an adult tooth and he's only had it a few weeks.

We're due to see the dentist next week, is he lightly to do anything to make it right?

This happened to my two front teeth when I was 8. The dentist capped them. The caps were replaced yearly as I grew up and then when I was 16 they replaced the caps with crowns.

Thanks for your quick response, I've also done a MN search and I think it might be filled or capped. Either way I wanted to be able to reassure ds and dh that something could be done.
