What is this under my daughters nose?

Any idea? Started as just an irritated red mark, then yesterday I turned into a tiny spot, and now it looks really sore. She poking it quite a bit, don't know if she's maybe just scratched the spot? Worried that it could be CP or even a cold sore. She's not had either before and seems well enough otherwise. No other marks I can see. It almost looks like a carpet burn

Impetigo?

Oh possibly - that's likely to spread isn't it?

It could be the start of impetigo maybe? Keep a close eye and if another spot develops then I think you need to bring her to the gp for antibiotic cream. It's very contagious.

I just googled it - really hope that's not what it is Confused

It could be impetigo.

However i get the exact same thing in the same place which comes and goes. Half sore, half itchy. Had it on and off for a year.

Not very helpful I'm afraid!
