Please help my son has this on one of his toes. It's been there like a month but today when I have looked at it it looks much worse then before. Is it some kind of wart? It definitely looks infected to me. I have a docs app for next Wednesday, shall I book an emergency one in the morning as that seems to long to wait. TIA

Is it an ingrown toenail that's infected?

Astro55 · 14/03/2017 17:04

Could be a varucca or an infection

For an infection bath his foot in salt water at least twice a day - DS had similar and needed antibiotics

If the appointment is that long away - go and see a pharmacist- they're ace with these things

MrsEricBana · 14/03/2017 17:06

Or maybe something fungal. Agree pharmacist as first port of call.

Gaaaah · 14/03/2017 17:08

Could be a whitlow.

ShowOfHands · 14/03/2017 17:09

I'd see a pharmacist too.

JennyOnAPlate · 14/03/2017 17:09

I don't know but don't wait til next Wednesday; it looks sore Flowers

Ok going to pop into pharmacist first see what they say. I don't think it's an ingrown toenail. It's just horrible to look at and it does hurt him when he putting his socks/ shoes on
