I've noticed my DS has a patch of dry skin on his ankle about the size of a 50p and is now developing one on his other ankle. It's generally invisible - when you look closely you can see it's a bit flakey and it feels rough, but you have to look closely. However, the last few days his ankle creases that are within the dry patch have become a bit red and angry. I've tried sudocrem and bepanthen but they don't seem to be making a difference.
He does seem to be prone to a bit of dry skin. He gets a flakey scalp is I don't use babynoil on it every day and his cheeks sometimes get a bit rough, though they look fine. Bepanthen seems to fix it so I just use a dot of it every night.
He's also got a couple of small pinky-red patches on his back. Just now they're quite smooth and I don't usually use anything on them as they don't seem bad.
I'm worried about eczema/psoriasis as both me and his dad have difficult skin! I had been really hoping DS wouldn't inherit that.
Does anyone have any idea what this might be or ideas for how to treat it? Thanks
