Sleep apnoea in toddler

Has anyone any experience of this?
DS just turned 3 has started having sleep apnoea, only for the last few days.
He doesn't have a cold and his nose is clear.
I've just been monitoring it now because he's in my bed and I can't sleep because of his snoring and his resp rate is between 11-14 breaths per minute, with gaps up to 10 seconds between Sad
I'll make a GP appointment in the morning but in the meantime just wondering if anyone could shed some light?

Yes my toddler needed his tonsils out because of it. Best thing to do is video it. Having his tonsils removed was the best thing we did, his breathing is great at night now.

11-14 breaths per minute isn't a lot for someone so small. Did you get to the GP?

Yes, he thinks tonsillitis and put him on 10 Shock days antibiotics. He has no other signs of infection though, no temp or anything.
Fortunately ExP is friends with an ENT surgeon who has said he'll see him in clinic next week Grin
