DS seeing colourful spots/stars

Does anyone have experince of this?

DS 6, has mentioned it quite a few times over the last couple of weeks. They are usually green or red spots dancing in his vision.. I initially thought he was staring at lights or the sun, but now not so sure.

He is austistic so it's taken awhile to get a description that makes sense, but I'm wondering if it might be eye strain.

I'll prob check with GP, but no idea if it is a medical need causing it.

DD has this. He has also been diagnosed with Visual Stress / meares ehrlens. His dots are blue. He uses tinted glasses or overlays to help with them.

Thank yo. I've just read up. That's a possibility for DS. He does complain about it when reading and skips words frequently. He's very advanced in literacy, reading well above his age, but makes lots of simple mistakes or oversights,
