Fevers and twitching in a 4 yo

DD is in that phase where she's picking up every bug going now she's started school. She goes downhill very quickly and gets a temperature, usually a cough and is usually sick at least once (often when she tries some breakfast). She doesn't like taking calpol (I've tried every type of bribery, but she gets herself so worked up about it she more often than not throws it back up as soon as we've persuaded to take it).

The thing is, the last two times she's been ill, she has had strange jerky movements at night. The first time she called out, I went up and found her falling asleep, then her arms jerked out (like that baby reflex) and she woke up and cried, I reassured her, she fell back to sleep and it went through that cycle a few times, then stopped. About an hour later it happened again when DH checked on her, but in them morning the temperature had gone.

Last night she seemed more awake and upset by it. She gripped my hands tightly or pressed her hands against the wall as if bracing herself. I asked if she felt dizzy, but she said 'no, it's just my arms'. Again, after a while it stopped and she rolled over and went back to sleep.

It scares me because it's in the middle of the night, and everything seems worse then, but I don't know if I need to do anything about it. When I looked up fevers and fits, all I could find was stuff about babies, but it all said it's scary to look st but not harmful to the child.

Any ideas? Is it normal? Or at least not worrying?
