4 yo uncontrollable twitch when excited/tired

Has anyone else's little ones every had anything like this. She kinda bunches up her hands and shakes them, she pulls a funny face and can't sit still. Iv asked her why she does it and she says shes excited but she doesn't know it's happening. Her preschool have never seen anything like it. Iv tried to add a video but having no luck. I'm a newbie 😊

My DD does something similar when excited and always has. Have a look at motor stereotypes. There are some videos on you tube. Is it like that?
I think it's just one of those things kids do. It will probably get less obvious the older they get. I think it's really cute and part of her personality.

My DS had a blinking, pulling face tic and also a coughing tic at that age. I think it was to do with the stress of starting school, and being tired, poor little muffin. We spoke to the school, he had an eye test which was fine, eventually it went away.

Stressbucket, yes I literally came across this after I popped up my question. Iv watched a couple of videos and it's very similar to my little girl. She starts school in September and has a constipation problem too so I guess I'm worried about her and the way other kids will see her. She's going to the doctors in the week to see if there are any exercises etc we can get her to do that might distract her.

Let me know how you get on. My DD is 5 now. I didn't mention anything when she started school and teacher hasn't mentioned it to me although it was in her nursery report. She is a bit shy but fine apart from that. No problems with the other kids picking up on it so far!
