Has anyone tried hydrocortisone cream to loosen a disobedient foreskin?

My poor DS, we've been applying the cream for around five months. I can see gradual improvement but just wondered how long it might take (I'm sure everyone's different but looking for stories anyway).

The GP told us to try for 6 months. It improved a bit as he grew anyway so it's not as much as an issue now.

Hmm. Wonder if 6 months is the max for this cream then. Doctor just said once a day but didn't mention a time frame.
