Lots of children feel sore throats in their tummy, so throat infection? Have you had a look?

Katgibbon · 27/12/2016 15:09

Is she not eating at all, or just eating less than normal?
Possibly UTI? They seem to be quite non-specific and difficult to identify.

Katgibbon · 27/12/2016 15:20

She will take one or two bites and then she won't eat anymore her urine seems normal and diluted

Teething?
Or maybe just a bit out of sorts due to change of routine over Christmas? She may have been sleeping well, but could still be feeling unsettled if missing the usual routine.

smEGGnogg · 27/12/2016 15:27

My 4 yr old was the same the last 2 weeks of school. She'd sleep fine at night and would wake in a chipper mood but as the day went on she'd get clingy and be upset for no reason. Wasn't in pain or have any symptoms of illness, couldn't explain what was wrong. Late afternoon, she'd get lethargic and peaky looking then develop a temperature, refuse dinner and have to go to bed early. It was like that on repeat. She's alright now as if nothing was wrong.

insancerre · 27/12/2016 15:32

Has she had chicken pox?
Children are often a little out of sorts for a week or so before the spots appear

Or she could be incubating any other viral infection

emummy · 27/12/2016 15:33

Growing? 2 of my dcs used to go pale, tired, unwell looking for a few weeks, then suddenly perk up and I'd find they'd grown. Ds did this last month, had grown an inch. He also used to be like that when constipated

Yesitsmeagain · 28/12/2016 08:09

My DS suffered with chronic constipation all his toddlerhood. Would be the same, say he's hungry then not eat and just be in a really bad, whiney mood.

NormaSmuff · 28/12/2016 08:11

sore throat? sore tongue?
