DD is almost 5. Over the summer she had an infected throat, vomiting, and a rash and was given antibiotics. Yesterday in the early hours she came down again with a sore throat (it looks red and I think I could see something on it) and vomited intermittently yesterday afternoon for a couple of hours. Had a temp too and no interest in food.
I was set to try to get a GP appointment for her today but she seems better this morning. She slept 12 hours last night and is still a bit weak, but has had breakfast and is not complaining of sore throat or nausea. Happy to chat/complain about tv choices etc.
I would love to avoid another round of antibiotics as she had them 2 weeks ago for a separate chest infection
but Google seems to suggest antibiotics are par for the course with a strep infection even if she's getting better by herself.
