Could any GPs advise on strep throat?

DD is almost 5. Over the summer she had an infected throat, vomiting, and a rash and was given antibiotics. Yesterday in the early hours she came down again with a sore throat (it looks red and I think I could see something on it) and vomited intermittently yesterday afternoon for a couple of hours. Had a temp too and no interest in food.

I was set to try to get a GP appointment for her today but she seems better this morning. She slept 12 hours last night and is still a bit weak, but has had breakfast and is not complaining of sore throat or nausea. Happy to chat/complain about tv choices etc.

I would love to avoid another round of antibiotics as she had them 2 weeks ago for a separate chest infection Sad but Google seems to suggest antibiotics are par for the course with a strep infection even if she's getting better by herself.

Thanks for the reply. She got worse again that day so I made the GP appointment for yesterday. By yesterday though she was really much better but I still took her to GP who thought we could get away without antibiotics. I'm relieved! Where do you get high dose vitamin c?

Oh well you can high dose with any...bit best to get a clean one. I use sodium absorbate or liposomal lipolife. Both on amazon. If you look up vit c to bowel tolerance. We just do about 1mg every hour or so when poorly...a bit less for the small. Hope she is feeling better.
