My son is now. 4 months old. Right from being a newborn (3 days old) he has suffered with awful colic. We tried every remedy going as well as gaviscon as dr thought it might be silent reflux. We eventually found that colic milk helps him. It's lower in lactose. Recently he's not been as bad with colic so we decided to switch to regular formula. He drank 3 5 oz bottles and he was in so much pain. He had a bottle of milk and just screamed for 30 odd minutes. Nothing would settle him, and he's never been like this before. We have switched him back to the regular colic milk and he's been back to his normal self.
When he has regular milk he is always throwing up after a feed, he has horrendous wind he can't get up, farts like there's no tomorrow. I've had a read on the internet and this all seems to point to an issue with lactose.
Would anyone think that's the case or does he still have bad colic despite most babies growing out off it about 3 months?
