Fish oil recommendation for children

My son has ADHD and I find his behaviour improves vastly when he takes fish oil and probiotics daily (not sure which of these actually makes a difference!!) He used to be fairly happy to eat a mixture in yoghurt but won't anymore so I'm not sure how to get it in him. He won't have the chewy ones only liquid mixed in something. Any recommendations for a high quality one that won't make him gag? And how to sneak it into something to minimise the taste? Thanks!!

I'm with you on the benefit of fish oil. I've given them to my son since they came out ok. 1999 or so.

I use Eyeq by Equazen and they do a liquid form. If you list what he will eat and drink hopefully we can suggest something but apart from saying mix it in juice which I'm sure you've already thought of I'm at a loss as to what to suggest.

I found this for you. If you scroll down it lists the fish oils available and mentions the flavours etc.

Thank you! I haven't tried juice as it sends him a bit hyper so want to avoid if possible but will give it a go if I can't think of anything else.

After a bit of research I've found a liquid strawberry flavoured one that has a higher concentration so only 1/2 teaspoon required per dose - fingers crossed that will work!

Insecind Equazen and there's also Eskimo.

Hi OP, what is the name of the strawberry one please?

MrsC09 · 30/11/2016 11:58

Nordic Naturals Children's DHA. It's the best seller in the US they sell it on Amazon. Quite pricy but works out similar per dose as only 1/2 the dosage required.
