I'm taking her to the GP tomorrow but was wondering if anyone could shed any light on this strangeness?

She's 7 and has had a tough couple of weeks some bullying at school and has found it difficult moving up to y3 her dad also had a major op during the last six weeks.

She keeps randomly throwing up - first time was in school and she was sent home then the week before last she was just randomly throwing up tiny amounts at school and the teacher and I met and both thought it was anxiety as she is completely well.
No vomit last week and has now come home complaining of tummy ache but no temp- happy to sit and do a jigsaw and has just asked for toast and grapes but has thrown up two small amounts of vomit (it looks just like a dribble of grainy thick vomit it's not liquidy).
She says her tummy stings just above her belly button but is not looking in pain to me just every now and again will mention it.

I'm at a loss any ideas?

Sounds like anxiety. I sometimes dry heaves when I have a panic attack or can vomit a little if very upset.

Acid reflux?

mrsaugust16 · 21/11/2016 18:21

I thought anxiety but she's sat next to me right now singing her head off.

Acid reflux ? Could be she said she threw up her satsuma today, also thinking about it she does seem to bring chocolate back up and it looks really grainy (sorry TMI).

It feels like someone has put a fire stick in her mouth just before she throws up apparently Hmm.
She is very dramatic though but looking at acid reflux symptoms could be onto something.

Thanks for the replies FlowersStar.

Round belly button could be appendicitis.

However it sounds to me like anxiety. Dd2 gets that and can vomit with that. Also abdominal migraines which can be very painful (been sent to A&E on more than one occasion by they GP from the pain)

My daughter has a fructose intolerance, and she is sick in a refluxy kind of way several times a day. Very sharp and acidy and burny. Also gets tummy aches, distended tummy sometimes, and some diarrhoea. Might be worth checking he rout for this? Partic as the vomiting occurred after eating fruit and chocolate.

Thanks for the reply. Just googled abdominal migraines and it all seems familiar with her symptoms too :( .

Will update after seeing doctor.

Thanks again.

Acid reflux probably strayed after a stomach bug she had, she's been given medication and we are going back in two weeks.
