Child with frequent diarrhoea

My dd is 5 and recently has had very frequent bouts of diarrhoea. She is constantly hungry and when she eats has to go straight to the toilet. She has missed a lot of school over this and I've been putting it down to stomach bugs but now I'm starting to think there may be a different cause. I do have a doctors apt booked for tomorrow but would like to know if anyone else's dc have suffered the same

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Have you kept a food diary to see if it's a dietary cause? Does she have a lot of dairy or eat a lot of wheat based foods?

No I haven't. That's a Good point actually it could be dairy

Sounds food related to me, has she had a stomach bug recently? If she has some children can get a temporary food intolerance.
I second the food diary, particularly look at gluten and lactose containing foods. Have a Coeliac ds and another ds who is lactose and wheat intolerant.
