What's wrong with DD

So I have had to pick up DD twice this week from school (never ever happens) and she has been in a terrible state, in floods of tears. Mostly complaining of terrible stomach pains and has run to the toilet but hasn't been sick. She has also complained about headache/sore throat

Both times get home / one dose of calpol - 10 minutes later absolutely fine!

I didn't think calpol should work on stomach ache? I totally don't think she is faking, she missed something in school the other day and was very upset about it as she had really been looking forward to it.

She's now just eaten a massive dinner! I just don't get what's going on

Perhaps something in school is giving her anxiety? Does she have P.E on the days she came out early for example? Or a subject on those days before she was sick?

I think going to a GP to talk about this is the most important thing. Could be a MH like anxiety about something, could be bullying or could be an actual health issue.

No positively don't think she was faking - she missed something she was looking forward to very much - she's still upset about it

She was upset today as it started at the start of playtime and she's gutted she missed that

She does look pale as well (as she did the other day too)

How old is she?

Sounds a bit like the abdominal migraines my youngest regularly had when younger. He also went very pale and was sometimes sick as well. Certainly worth considering as it took ages for him to be diagnosed.

I still recommend going to the GP.

When I had anxiety I genuinely was looking forward to something but my anxiety would make me feel like I had a headache and was about to puke etc. I thought I was really ill and didn't know what the trigger was (still don't tbh).

I think it could be 1 of a number of things and you should get it sorted ASAP before she misses any more school. If you can phone the school and ask for the work she has missed so she can catch up.

I wouldn't assume there isn't something going on at school, wanting to get away and go home asap isn't mutually exclusive with being upset uou have to miss something because uou want to get away so bad,

Is she having any troubled relationships there,,,teachers, friends? It's the speedy recovery that makes me wonder,

She's still not happy as her and her friend had an arranged game to play today and she missed it

She looks terrible but now says she's fine

I had wondered about stomach migraines but had read they were rare? She's not a child who gets stomach aches or is sick (I think if she was faking she would say headache to be honest) so is very out of character

My DD suffered from Mesenteric Adenitis when she was run down after a series of colds, bad stomach pains/cramps and occasional diarrhea - the doctor recommended anything mint but calpol was the only thing I could get her to take.

Job for the doctor.

Trapped wind - is it happening after lunch? Is she eating too fast? Talking while eating?

Constipation - drinking enough? Getting 5 a day?

I actually wrongly seem to have assumed calpol shouldn't be given for stomach ache too

How weird my 7 year old has done the exact same thing over the last couple of weeks.
Fine when she gets home except for the paleness.
Had a chat with her teacher today if it happens again we are off to the GP.
