What could this rash be? Pic

Ds is 8 and said he face felt weird.
I had a look and he's got a rash on both his cheeks and chin. Any idea what it could be?

Slapped cheek?

I thought that but all the pictures on google look very red?

Has he been poorly? Viral rash?

It's not red enough for slapped cheek IMO. Has he got any other symptoms or just a rash?

No he's not been poorly and has no either symptoms except for the rash

It's exactly like the rash ds had with slapped cheek,I imagine like with everything there are variations.

Thanks dame well I'd booked him a doctors appointment for after school as I have appointments with my younger Ds, but school have sent him away anyway so will see what doctors say later

Allergy?

He's not eaten or used anything new.
It's getting slightly more red now though

So update. Been to doctors he's not sure either. Said probably viral but has also done swab for scarlet fever.
