Hand , Foot and Mouth?

Had a call from the DD's nursery saying she has a couple of sores on her lips and spots coming up on her bum, they've had Hand, Foot and Mouth in the nursery and assumed she has picked it up, but they don't exclude for it so it was just to let me know.
But so far 2 days later, she still only has the 2 on her bottom lip and the spots on her bum have lessened which I think looked more like a teething rash as she has a few coming through at the moment, she breifly had a rash on the backs of her legs and tummy yesterday.
Can they have it without the spots on the hands and feet?

Should I take her to the doctor to confirm in case it's something else?

Is her mouth OK? Painful mouth ulcers tend to be the worst symptom for many. I caught it when the kids caught it and only had the mouthful of ulcers with no spots elsewhere.

My son hardly had any spots on his hands and none on his feet. Inside his mouth and groin were the worst.

My DD had spots in her mouth and a single spot on one foot. It was definitely HF&M as you could track her catching it from an out of nursery friend in a different area and spreading it around nursery.

I haven't been able to have a good look in her mouth, she's 14m and not the most cooperative when it comes to keeping still. The 2 on her lip wereslightly blistered but are just red patches now, they only came up on Tuesday.
She can get quite sore when she's teething so it's difficult to tell if it's that or something else, though there are no blisteres there just red/sore pacthes.

Don't want to waste the doctors time but is a general rash usually something that comes with it?

I don't think you need to take her to the GP to confirm it - it's either HF&M or from the sounds of it something else minor. If she gets properly ill and it isn't obvious it's HF&M then consider the GP or 111 then.

My 2 year old has it atm, started with a high temp and sore throat.
Then had blisters around the mouth and bottom.
Then he had it on his hands and feet, there nearly all gone now though after 7 days.
But I have been told you can just get them in mouth as well.
I guess with anything some will have it worse then others.

My son had blisters under his bottom lip and chin then one hand had about 10 blisters and one foot had one bluster and he had a few on his bottom. He also had a bad cough/cold with it.

If she has them in her mouth, then she'd let you know soon enough if she ate anything acidic, like ketchup or fruit or anything crunchy like toast.
