Ds is constantly coughing all night - took to gp and have inhalers and asthma appt. In the meantime what tips fo you have that work to help stop coughing at night?

Are you propping up with pillows? Ds has a v shaped pillow which helps loads.

If the inhalers don't improve things pretty quickly I'd go back to the GP.

A thick layer of vicks vaporub on the sloes of his feet + socks at bedtime.

Worth a try - don't know why but it does work for irritating night coughs. Obviously not a cure for asthma though.

soles not sloes

Calpol plug in and a dehumidifier have helped here.

How long has he been coughing at night for? My DD has had a night cough for a week. It's really bad between about 11-1am. I've tried propping up mattress, vicks on feet, honey etc bit not making a jot of difference. I've got a v shaped pillow would that be safe enough to use ? Just wanted to say I'm feeling your pain OP
