Is this a cold sore on DS??

Three year old DS had this scab looking thing appear on his face two days ago never seen it before it just was there one morning I don't know anyone in friends or family who has cold sores but obviously know it can be dormant and he has always been to preschools and nurserys so could have picked it up anywhere please help

it does mean no school until it has cleared up

I've got him in with the nurse later today, yes if it is impetigo he'll have to stay off poor thing!
