Still wetting the bed at 7

My ds2 is still wetting the bed. Not every night, but 3-4 times a week. He doesn't drink anything after dinner and I make him go to the loo before he goes to sleep.

Anyone got any advice about how I can get him to stop? Thanks

He needs to drink plenty, with holding drink can make his bladder smaller so then not able to hold so much.
I find black current juice the worse for not helping bedwetting.
Some children do not have enough of the hormone to tell the brain that they need to stop weeing in their sleep.
Take him to the gp and get his urine cheeked as well just incase there is anything going on.
Also ask to be referred to a nurse who specialises in this area.
Do not let them say he is to young to refer!
In the mean time measure out how much he drinks for a few days, he needs to be having around 1 litre of fluid a day.
And check out Eric website.

I had the same with my DS. I read that it's quite common for boys to wet the bed up to 7yo. Mine stopped around 7 and a half and been fine since.

Thanks for advice. Am trying to get go appointment just to rule any issues out.

He only drinks water (juice only special occasions - when we eat out), but I'll speak to go / nurse about water intake. Thanks

One of mine had problems all through primary school years. We were given charts and alarms but they didn't work. He used desmopressin for a few years and then something kicked in and he had no problems after that.
