Molluscum

My daughter (3 1/2) had had Molluscum for over a year now. I have tried various treatments to no avail. About a week and a half ago she got quite a bad cold which is just on its way out at the moment. A few days into the cold (about a week ago) her Some of her Mollusca started to swell and go red. Now they are all really red, swollen and angry looking - they have lost the pearly appearance they used to have. One I think may be infected (I'll take her to the doctors tomorrow) as the whole solute pundits area is swollen and is becoming red/purple.

My question is, should I be worried about them all being red and swollen or could this be a sign that they are finally going?

My Dd has had this blasted thing for over 18 months now. Some of them occasionally go like you have described, I took her to the doctor who prescribed an ointment. This takes away the septic red appearance but doesn't make it disappear.

Hi, my son also has these. He developed them after being immune compromised following chemo. Yes makes sense that they would be worse when run down or fighting an infection. As that's when you are most likely to catch them. Have also been told there is nothing the Drs will do to treat them,although the nurse did say why hadn't I asked to have them treated with cryo!!? I was a bit taken aback as didn't think they did do that for children but might be worth double asking for yours too.

My daughter had this for a long time, they changed and started to look like they may get infected, but to my surprise they all vanished!
