Vulvovaginitis - what worked for your DD?

I think DD2 2.6 has it Sad

Bright red vulva and very emotional, irritable.

She hardly slept last night and was up countless times crying. I think because she wears a nappy at night, which was irritating it.

Finally got her down for a nap. Gave some Calpol for discomfort.

Does 1% cream work? Or is there anything the doctor could prescribe?

Could I try a bath with baking soda?

Poor little lamb Sad

Do you mean 1% hydrocortisone? I didn't think you could use that on genital area?

Thank you for the replies. I forgot I had started this thread Blush

On the advice of 111 I took DD to OOO nurse yesterday, who prescribed antibiotics.

Nothing except Vaseline can be applied to her labia. So having to keep her topped up with Calpol / Nurofen to ease the discomfort.
