Teething Blood Blister? (pic included)

Warning, pic might be disgusting or look a bit weird!

Does anyone know what this is and if it is normal?

Noticed in 9mo DS's mouth this morning where I thought a tooth would pop out but this did instead.

It is soft to the touch and doesn't appear to be causing him any pain.

It's on the top ( or the left side of the top of his mouth)
